Ruth HayllarRuth, the wife of Bluebell volunteer Anthony Hayllar, mother to young Isaac, Imogen and Hope, and fierce fighter in the battle against cancer, sadly passed away on 20 June 2014.
Ruth's funeral was held at Clayton Wood Burial Ground BN6 9PD, on Friday 11th July. "Colours, lots of colours" is what Ruth wrote in her notebook, and this request was taken up by attendees. In place of flowers, donations were requested to Macmillan or St Catherine's Hospice.
There followed a Wake / Celebration of Ruth's Life at Maidenbower Community Centre, open to all friends and family of Ruth, especially including young children.
Our thoughts are with Tony, their children, and his and Ruth's extended family at this time.

Pat PlaneOn 4th June 2014, Pat's wife Wendy came home to find that Pat had very suddenly passed away. He was very peaceful and appeared to be just asleep (pen and crossword puzzle in hand!). Pat was a regular volunteer with the infrastructure and extension gang, frequently contributing photos of work in progress for this web site.
Pat's funeral took place on Wednesday 18th June at 3:30pm at Kent & Sussex Crematorium. The family respectfully requested that there were no flowers; any donations (care of Henry Paul Funerals) were split between the Bluebell Railway and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Our sincere condolences go to Wendy and their daughters.
