Operation Undercover: Purchase completed on 26th March. Working Group due to hold another meeting and will report back to Trustees meeting after AGM. Site tours planned for AGM day.
Extension: Meeting held with WSCC to discuss tip. Positive meeting but made clear that we will have to meet Council's costs in dealing with issue as they are now required to put such services out to contract to consultants or 3rd party companies. Will also need to indemnify WSCC before starting work on tip.
Volunteer Matters: 16-25 weekend: three members showed interest in becoming volunteers. Next recruitment event was the Members Day on 17th May.
Finance: 2002 accounts now posted to Members. 2003 revenue continues to be above budget which has helped to reduce overdraft requirements. Still need to constrain expenditure as it was still too early in the year to predict a trend. Corporate charter business still in decline.
'Sharpthorn': Loco needs to be moved from present position to allow work on new bookshop to start. Trustees did not support suggestion to mount it on a plinth at entrance to SP. Engine to be re-railed and located either at HK or KC for public access.
Twinning: Trustees agreed to follow up suggestion from Stoomtram to investigate the possibility of a joint twinning with a line in Germany. Noted that this could open up cultural funding from the EC.
EGM: Amending motions circulated and to be discussed at next meeting with a view to making recommendations at the EGM.
