Those working members with long pedigrees will be saddened to learn that Phyl Blackburn (Mick Blackburn's Mum and "Aunty Phyl" to many) passed away on Sunday 20 January 2013, aged 97. She will be best remembered for her generous portions to all working members when on buffet duty. She also worked on the wine and dine trains in the early days long before we invented Pullmans.Her funeral was on Tuesday 12th February at 11.30 at Worth Crematorium. No flowers please but donations to Clayton and Keymer Royal British Legion Womens Section of which she was President.
