SUMMARY OF TRUSTEES MEETING held on 19th July 2003

Finance : MBNA credit card agreement may be resumed but nothing had yet been confirmed. Society Bank charges to be reduced substantially, full details not yet received.

Changes to Sheffield Park Station Entrance : Plans agreed (new gates, modifications to lower car park entrance / exit and creation of addition spaces at bottom end). Planning permission to be sought

Former LBSC booking office from Hove Station: This building - approx 20' x 12' located on the Up side at bottom of footbridge - had been offered to railway free of change and transportation costs. Agreed to accept and to locate at Sheffield Park for use as an information office.

Kingscote Staff Car Park: It was announced that the railway had won its planning appeal and had been granted full planning permission for the staff car park at Kingscote. The Trustees conveyed their thanks to Les Haines for all his hard work on this appeal.

Facilitated Workshop on Volunteering
This 'workshop' (brainstorming session before it became politically incorrect to use such expressions) discussed the problems of recruiting and retaining volunteers. Various ideas and thoughts were thrown into the ring a number of action points allocated to Trustees for further action.
