LBSCR E4 No.473 'Birch Grove' heads the 11.17 vintage train out of Horsted Keynes bound for Sheffield Park on Sunday 29th September 2002.

Later the same day, West Country Pacific No.21C123 'Blackmoor Vale' makes light work of the afternoon Golden Arrow at Three Arch Bridge.

BR Class 4 No.80151 departs from Horsted Keynes for Sheffield Park.

An interesting view of Horsted Keynes taken from the top of the new signal post (with permission) with Nos. 473 and 80151 in attendance.

The following Sunday, the 6th October, No.473 is seen heading away from Kingscote with an early afternoon train.

In beautiful afternoon light, BR 4MT No.75 027 rolls into Kingscote with the Golden Arrow.

No.473 makes a rousing departure from Kingscote with the 3pm.

An unusual view from the temporary scaffolding at Kingscote of No.80151 about to depart for Sheffield Park.

A digital photo montage, and conventional scan of visiting West Country Class Pacific No.34027 'Taw Valley' (running as classmate No.34045 'Ottery St. Mary') in the rain at Horsted Keynes on Sunday 20th October 2002.

OK, there's not a train in it, but I couldn't resist including this picture of Horsted Keynes at dusk, 20th October 2002.

Two photos from the evening of Saturday 26th October featuring rebuilt West Country Pacific No.34027 'Taw Valley' and unrebuilt classmate No.21C123 'Blackmoor Vale' at Sheffield Park.

On the 17th of November, No.21C123 'Blackmoor Vale' heads a morning train out of Horsted Keynes.

In foul weather on Wednesday 20th November, the unlikely combination of LBSCR E4 No.473 'Birch Grove' and BR 4MT No.75027 wheel a Footplate Days and Ways goods train round Freshfields curve.

The weather on the morning of 1st December 2002 was equally wet, but on this occasion the clouds parted in the afternoon. Two shots of No.75027 approaching Horsted Keynes resulted, firstly with a 'Santa Special' and then an empty stock working.
