Santa Specials 2003

An intensive service of Santa Specials was operated in December 2003, and permanent-way work at Horsted Keynes provided the ideal opportunity to photograph trains arriving and departing. Please note that most of the shots on this page were taken from the station yards, which for H&S reasons are not covered by the lineside permits.

On Sunday 7th Decem ber, Class 5 No.73082 'Camelot' arrives at Horsted Keynes with the 11.45 from Sheffield Park.


Two shots of No.80151 arriving at Horsted Keynes from Kingscote with the afternoon Golden Arrow on the 7th December.


A short while later, No.75027 catches the sun as it departs for Kingscote.


The following Sunday, the 14th December, morning sees No.73082 departing Horsted Keynes with the 11.45 from Sheffield Park.


On the afternoon of Sunday 21st December, No.75027 glints beautifully while departing with the 2.10pm from Sheffield Park.


No.75027 has just arrived at Horsted Keynes with an empty stock working from Sheffield Park at the end of the day's services on Monday 22nd December.
