Tenner for the Tip

With the completion of our extension in 2013, the Tenner for the Tip scheme has now closed.

Each £10 donation removed a quarter of a ton of rubbish which was sitting in the way of our Northern Extension. In the late 1960s around 100,000 tons of domestic waste was dumped on the railway line, filling Imberhorne Cutting. We needed to remove this before we could link up with East Grinstead.

Now the Bluebell has a terminus in East Grinstead, we believe we are bringing economic as well as entertainment and educational benefits to the town.

With the completion of our extension in 2013, the Tenner for the Tip scheme has now closed.

If you wish to donate a more substantial sum to the railway, this can be done under Gift Aid arrangements, or even on-line via the Bluebell Railway Trust, which can also accept legacies.
